THE HOTEL IS SITUATED OUTSIDE THE CITY WALLS, JUST NEXT TO THE ARTISTIC CENTRE

The area where the hotel is located was reclaimed from the sea and is structured around a large avenue, with a wide
  seafront and extensive beaches. This avenue ends at the Puertas de Tierra, part of the city walls which separate the new city from the Historical Centre.

This area is mainly a residential, shopping and leisure area with beaches, where you can go on walks, play sport or go swimming.
There are not many tourist sights here, as practically all of them are on the other side of the Puertas de Tierra.

Near the hotel

It is especially famous for its white sandy beaches, a meeting point for natives and visitors alike. Also nearby is the Church of San José which dates from the 18th century. Built in a neoclassical style, it has been declared a site of cultural interest. In the plaza of the same name you can see the monument to Liberator General José de San Martín, who together with Simón Bolivar actively contributed to the liberation of Argentina, Chile and Peru.

How to get from the hotel to the main tourist sights

  • Campo del Sur area

​Torre de Poniente Cathedral and Viewpoint, Cathedral Museums and Archives, Casa del Obispo Archaeological Site and Santa Cruz Church - Old Cathedral.

o To the right of the hotel you will find a street which leads to Paseo Marítimo (the seafront). There, you can take bus no. 7 and get off at the Cathedral stop. The rest of the sights are located around it.

  • La Caleta area

​Los Mártires Rampart, La Candelaria Rampart, Castle of San Sebastián, Castle of Santa Catalina, Reina Sofía Municipal Cultural Centre and Church of El Carmen.

o To the right of the hotel you will find a street which leads to Paseo Marítimo (the seafront). There, you can take bus no. 7 and get off at the stop Baluarte de los Mártires. The rest of the sights are located around it.

​Monument to the Cádiz Cortes, Oratory of Santa Cueva, Church of San Agustín, Chapel of Nuestra Señora del Pópulo, Convent of Santo Domingo, Hospital de Mujeres (Women’s Hospital), Tavira Tower-Camera Obscura, Oratory of San Felipe Neri, Teatro Falla, Museo de Cádiz (Museum of Cádiz): Archaeology, Fine Art and Ethnography; Casa Pinillos (Pinillos House), Church of San Francisco.

o You can take bus no. 1 from opposite the hotel and get off at the last stop, Plaza de España. You can visit all of these places on foot.

​Puerta de Tierra Walls - Virtual Visit of 18th-Century Cádiz, Museo - Taller Litográfico (Lithography Museum and Workshop), Roman Theatre and Royal Prison.

o The Puertatierra Walls are around 10 minutes’ walk from our hotel. You can also take bus no. 1 and get off at the Puertatierra stop.

Bus no. 5 from Avenida García de Sola. Opposite our hotel.

  • Centre

o Bus no. 1 opposite the hotel to Plaza de España.
